Almost $60 billion in new federal funds can be devoted to restore floor transportation corridors nationwide, the Biden administration introduced Oct. 11.
The funds from the Federal Freeway Administration had been accredited by the $1 trillion Infrastructure Funding and Jobs Act. Initiatives in each state, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico can be among the many funds’ recipients.
“America’s roads and bridges are the important arteries of our transportation system, connecting folks and items throughout the nation,” Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg mentioned. “Due to President [Joe] Biden’s bipartisan infrastructure legislation, at the moment we’re sending historic ranges of funding to each state to assist modernize the roads and bridges People depend on day-after-day.”
