Truckers and Teamsters convoy to ask California to ban driverless vehicles

On Tuesday, a gaggle of truckers and union members descended on Sacramento, California, to ask state officers to behave to ban driverless vehicles.

Teamsters organized a convoy that traveled from Los Angeles into Sacramento on Tuesday for a rally on the State Capitol constructing to demand that California Governor Gavin Newsom signal AB 316, successfully banning driverless vehicles from California roadways.

Teamsters argue that driverless vehicles are a risk to employees and to freeway security.

AB 316 was handed by the California Senate earlier this month and solely awaits Newsom’s signature to be handed into legislation.
