Truck driver admits to being distracted in work zone previous to shedding load

The Georgia Division of Public Security (DPS) says a tough braking incident that resulted in a misplaced load was brought on by a truck driver’s cellular phone use.

On February 8, Georgia DPS shared the story of the distracted driving incident that came about earlier within the week in McDuffie County.

“This week, MCO3 Rodriguez and MCO1 Holderfield (Area E) labored a post-crash inspection in McDuffie County. The driving force admitted being distracted by his cellular phone coming into a piece zone, slamming on his brakes, and shedding his load. Fortunately, the development highway flagger may soar out of the way in which with out being hit by the truck or load,” Georgia DPS stated.
