Surveillance video exhibits trucker confronting stowaway at Texas truck cease

Video launched by the Encinal Police Division (EPD) exhibits a truck driver discovering and chasing off a person who tried to cover on his truck.

The video was captured at a Loves Truck Cease in Encinal, Texas, round 11 p.m. on September 1, 2023.

EPD says that officers had been referred to as to the scene for a report of two males combating on the truck cease.

Investigating officers discovered that one of many males, Mexican citizen Rafael Cabrera Vargas, was “discovered behind the cab of the semi making an attempt to hide himself.”

The semi truck driver seen Vargas whereas he was fueling and tried to cease Vargas, which led to a bodily altercation.

EPD says that Border Patrol arrived on the scene shortly after the video was captured. Vargas was taken into custody by Border Patrol brokers.

Police stated that Vargas “has an extended historical past of getting into into the USA illegally.”

“This can be a reminder to all to stay vigilant and fully conscious of your environment. And please, for those who see something suspicious don’t hesitate to report it,” EPD stated.
