Outsized load strikes overpass on I-75 in Florida

Florida transportation officers have closed a portion of I-75 following a serious overpass strike involving an outsized load.

The crash was reported shortly after 9 a.m. on Wednesday, February 22, on I-75 in Ocala, Florida.

A semi truck hauling an outsized load within the northbound lanes of the interstate struck an overpass at mile marker 347.

No accidents have been reported.

Pictures captured on the scene present harm to the bridge construction.

Northbound I-75 is closed as crews examine the overpass for harm. Miles-long site visitors backups have been reported on I-75. SW 66th Road can also be closed.

Southbound I-75 is open however troopers say that rubberneckers are inflicting site visitors delays.
