New Jersey DOT bans all industrial automobile journey on a number of interstates
The New Jersey Division of Transportation (NJDOT) has issued a truck journey restriction forward of a winter climate.
With a significant winter storm barreling down on the northeast, New Jersey transportation officers have joined Pennsylvania and New York in limiting truck journey.
Efficient at 8 p.m. on March 13, NJDOT has banned all from industrial autos from touring on the next interstates:
- I-78, complete size from the Pennsylvania border to I-95 (New Jersey Turnpike)
- I-80, complete size from the Pennsylvania border to I-95 (New Jersey Turnpike)
- I-280, complete size from I-80 to I-95 (New Jersey Turnpike)
- I-287, complete size from NJ Route 440 to the New York State border
- NJ Route 440, from the Outerbridge Crossing to I-287
Autos affected by the NJDOT journey ban embody:
- All tractor trailers (exceptions as listed within the Administrative Order)
- Empty straight CDL-weighted vehicles
- Passenger autos pulling trailers
- Leisure autos
- Bikes
The journey ban does NOT apply to:
- The New Jersey Turnpike
- The Backyard State Parkway
- The Atlantic Metropolis Expressway
- Public security autos, sworn and civilian public security personnel; in addition to different personnel straight supporting healthcare amenities or essential infrastructure corresponding to offering gas or meals.
