The Kansas Freeway Patrol (KHP) is investigating a critical crash involving two cattle haulers that occurred close to a relaxation space in Backyard Metropolis on Wednesday.

KHP says that 27 yr outdated Maritza Ruiz was driving a 2008 Kenworth hauling a loaded cattle trailer westbound on Ok-156 at milemarker 24.1.
A 2004 Kenworth pushed by Aaron Ortega-Arzate, 23, was additionally hauling a loaded cattle trailer as he made a left end up of the remainder space to journey east on Ok-156 on the similar location.
KHP stated that Ortega-Arzate didn’t yield at a cease signal and turned in entrance of the semi pushed by Ruiz.
Ortega-Arzates’s truck struck the semi-trailer of Ruiz’s truck and “minimize the trailer in half.”

Ruiz’s truck turned disabled on the freeway.
Ruiz was hospitalized with critical accidents. Police say she was not carrying a seat belt.
Ortega-Arzates was not injured.
Police stated that cattle required extrication from the trailer.
