Feds discover $4 million price of cocaine disguised in semi’s cargo of ornamental stone
U.S. Customs and Border Safety (CBP) in California lately found thousands and thousands of {dollars} price of medication cleverly hid inside a business cargo of ornamental stone.
The drug bust occurred on January 11, 2023, on the Tecate Cargo Facility in San Diego.
CBP officers encountered a 36 12 months previous truck driver hauling a cargo manifested as ornamental stone.
The truck was referred for a secondary inspection.
Throughout the inspection, CBP officers “randomly offloaded” a part of the cargo and seen “an anomaly on one of many stones.”

CBP found 57 cellophane wrapped packages of cocaine that had been hid inside a plaster-like materials designed to seem like stones.
Officers finally seized 256 kilos of cocaine with an estimated road worth of $4.1 million, in keeping with a CBP information launch.
The cocaine, tractor, and trailer had been seized by CBP.
The truck driver, a Mexican citizen, was handed over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Homeland Safety Investigations.
