Effectiveness of In-Cab Teaching for Trucking Fleets – Security & Compliance

The research reveals how drivers responded behaviorally to on-board monitoring methods and training after triggered occasions, similar to cellphone use, drowsiness and different distractions.
The research discovered that when introducing on-board monitoring methods in cabs, driver efficiency and security improve most often. VTTI tracked seven fleets, together with 116 autos and 354 drivers, to assemble 3.8 million miles of information, and located:
- Fleet A decreased excessive severity security occasion charges by 64% throughout intervention of an on-board monitoring or teaching system.
- Fleet H decreased excessive severity occasion charges by 37% throughout intervention.
