Driver unhooked trailer and fled scene after bridge strike that significantly injured motorist

Motorists skilled severe backups in New York on Wednesday after a truck driver unhooked his trailer and left it caught beneath a low overpass. 

The accident occurred on December 14th in Lakeview, New York on the Southern State Parkway at round 3:48 a.m. 

In accordance with Information 12, the tractor trailer was on the Southern State Parkway at Exit 18, Eagle Avenue when it turned wedged beneath the 18 overpass. A motorist touring behind the truck was severely injured by particles from the crash. The truck driver then apparently unhooked the trailer from his truck and fled the scene. 

Semi vans should not permitted on the Parkway.

The westbound aspect of the Southern State Parkway was closed between exits 18 and 19 for cleanup of the incident. No additional info has been launched.
