Day-long standoff with suicidal trucker continues in Las Vegas
A avenue in Las Vegas has been shut down since this morning as officers try to barter with a trucker barricaded in his semi truck.
The incident started at round 8:16 a.m. on Cheyenne Avenue close to Las Vegas Boulevard in Nevada.
In line with Fox 5 Vegas, police initially obtained a report of a drunk truck driver within the 4000 block of East Cheyenne Avenue and responded to the scene. Officers positioned the semi truck and located the driving force inside, refusing to return out.
SWAT and disaster negotiators are responding to the scene. The motive force has been described as suicidal, reported 3 Information Las Vegas.
Cheyenne Avenue is shut down in each instructions from Walnut Street to Lamb Boulevard as authorities proceed to reply to the incident.
