Goetz, who was 52, died in a “tragic accident.” He’s survived by a spouse and two kids.
Daimler Truck stated Goetz was “decisively accountable” for the OEM’s spinoff from its former father or mother firm, Mercedes-Benz Group AG, in December 2021.
Goetz’s positions on the father or mother firm included that of director of finance for North American operations with Daimler Truck North America. DTNA relies in Portland, Ore.
Freightliner and Western Star are truck manufacturers of DTNA.
