Troopers with the California Freeway Patrol (CHP) just lately elevated patrols to implement business car weight limits on rural roadways.
The CHP – Monterey division mentioned on Could 11 that they’ve been actively implementing a seven ton weight restrict within the small city of Spreckels this week. Troopers say that there are posted indicators stating “Industrial Autos Over 7 Tons Prohibited” within the city.
The elevated patrols have targeted on Harkins Street and Hatton Avenue south of Hunter Street.
CHP says that the elevated patrols had been wanted as a result of the infrastructure can’t face up to the load of business car visitors.
“Throughout a number of enforcement contacts our officers discovered unlicensed drivers, expired registration, logbook violations, false DOT numbers, and quite a few gear violations. There are vital penalties for these violations,” CHP famous.
Spreckels is positioned between Salinas and Monterey.
