$2M price of marijuana present in semi truck was alleged to be load of frozen waffles

A Canadian truck driver was taken into custody after he was caught with marijuana and ketamine hidden in his trailer final week. 

Truck driver Ajaypal Dhillon was discovered with over 2,092 kilos of marijuana and over 112 kilos of ketamine hidden in bins within his trailer, reported The Buffalo Information. The contraband was discovered throughout a search by Customs and Border Patrol officers as Dhillon crossed the Peace Bridge into Buffalo, New York on July twenty seventh. 

A manifest said that the truck was hauling a load of frozen waffles to a grocery retailer in Georgia, however when officers contacted the corporate allegedly transport the waffles, they have been informed it was a fraudulent doc. 

Dhillon has been charged with possessing marijuana with the intent to distribute it and knowingly importing marijuana into the U.S. He stays in custody and has a detention listening to scheduled for August third in federal court docket in Buffalo.
