2 shootings: trucker dies in a single; driver arrested within the different

Two separate shootings involving truck drivers occurred earlier this week.

In a single, a driver from Illinois has been charged with homicide for allegedly taking pictures and killing the passenger of a car throughout what police are calling a highway rage incident.

Within the different, a trucker died when he was fatally shot by an Oklahoma Freeway Patrol trooper throughout a visitors cease on Interstate 44.

On Tuesday, Sept. 19, Jason Rashad Williams, 46, of Danville, Illinois, the motive force of a tractor-trailer is claimed by police to have shot at one other car whereas eastbound on Interstate 20 in Texas. KLTV studies the taking pictures occurred close to mile marker 520 at about 1:20 p.m. and adopted a verbal altercation between Williams and folks in one other car.

Williams is claimed to have fired on the different car, hanging and killing a feminine passenger. He left the scene of the taking pictures however was stopped and arrested by a Van Zandt County Sheriff’s Division deputy. Williams had a handgun and one other was present in his truck throughout a police search.

Williams was arrested and was being held on $1.75 million bond. 

Within the different taking pictures, an unidentified trucker was shot and killed by an Oklahoma Freeway Patrol trooper Wednesday morning, Sept. 20, on Interstate 44 (the Turner Turnpike) close to Stroud, Oklahoma southwest of Tulsa.

Reviews say the bobtail truck was stopped by the trooper close to the Stroud toll plaza, and an altercation between the trooper and the motive force occurred. In the course of the altercation, the trooper shot and killed the motive force.

Police proceed their investigations in each incidents.
